More Than the Bread

Seeking Jesus unconditionally

After COVID-19, I observed a decline in attendance at my home fellowship. I reached out to one of the members and discovered, she had left the church entirely.

According to her, she needed a more vibrant church where she could experience Jesus.

So, I thought to myself, is she looking for “More Jesus” or “More Vibrance”?

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and you had your fill

( John 6:26, NIV)

We, too, need to do a constant check of our motive while following Jesus. If things do not go the way we expect, would our love for him still stand?

Prayer:

Dear Lord, teach me to genuinely seek you, irrespective of what you give me.
