Can be kept in the “when we get to heaven” jar

My son once asked me what country the garden of Eden is located. I mumbled for a while, then checked through the scriptures.

I called a few scholars to come to my rescue, but I haven’t gotten the best answer yet.

Does anyone know?

I reckon there will be more questions we will never be able to answer here on Earth:

  • Why will a young person die?
  • Why do bad things happen to good people?
  • Why do some bad people live so long?

When the disciples asked Jesus Christ about his second coming, he was unable to give a specific time. In just this one instance, our saviour also did not have an exact answer.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matt 24:36, NIV)

So, I have resolved that rather than feel overwhelmed with the unknown, I can focus my attention and energy on enjoying every day, and trust God to take care of my future.

It is okay not to know everything. Life was designed to be so.

Maybe when we get to heaven, we can all sit around and ask questions.

Would we have time for that? Or maybe it won’t really matter anymore. Who knows?

Again, No one knows!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6–7, NIV)
