Your Multi-Purpose Supplement
Does it work for you?
The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops (2nd Timothy 2:6, NIV)
I am introducing “Well G” — Your Daily Spring of Wellness.
Are you tired of using multiple supplements to support your overall wellness? Look no further. A dose of “Well G” contains six different vitamins. It is a one-stop comprehensive, multipurpose product to keep you on the go. It is easy to chew and available in tablets, capsules, and even sugar-coated jellies—we had the “sweet tooth” in mind!
Some of the benefits of “Well G” include; Managing Cholesterol for effective heart functionality, Detoxification, and Building the Immune system. It also improves vision, eradicates episodes of insomnia, and promotes healthy skin by nourishing the body’s outer layer.
“Wait!” I interrupted Dan who happens to be the salesman for “Well G”
“Do you mean, this tiny supplement does all these?”
“Yes, of course,” Dan responded excitedly.
At this point, my focus shifted from the supplement in Dan’s hands to his face as I gazed at the large, inflamed pimples that dotted his cheeks and forehead.
“Does this product work for you”? “I mean have you used it?” I asked curiously as I stared at Dan’s red pimples. Dan now responds but rattles in his speech
“Erm, Well… I have not used it, but I know….”
“It works?” I interrupted. “How do you recommend a product you haven’t tested yourself?”
Dan knew immediately that his chances of selling his multi-purpose supplements to me had dwindled significantly.
My interaction with Dan reminds me of our lives sometimes as Christians. When we preach Christ to others by charging them to turn away from sin and seek the right path, or when we tell them about the numerous blessings salvation brings i.e. Joy, Peace, Financial blessing, etc. However, based on their assessment of our lives, they too can ask the same questions Dan was asked.
If the assessment of our lives or the quality of our well-being does not match the benefits that are associated with that of a child of God, people might reject the message of hope we are preaching to them.
Stop and Think
Can people say “Your Jesus is working for you” by their assessment of your life? If you have some doubts, what could be the reason?
You may need to ask God to reveal the areas of your life that need to be improved or changed.
